Porsche Racing on a Track‹
There's no doubt that Porsche makes some of the fastest sports cars and SUVs on the road. Exceptional performance is among the many highlights of nearly every new Porsche model, but which ones are the fastest? Let's take a look at the Porsche 0 to 60 times by model and see just how quickly these incredible cars can achieve highway speeds from a complete stop.

Porsche 911 Series

Several models in the Porsche 911 lineup can go from 0 to 60 mph in astonishingly short times. The fastest among them is the 2021-and-newer Porsche 911 Turbo S, which officially accelerates from 0 to 60 mph in around 2.6 seconds with the Sport Chrono Package. Some independent tests have recorded the Turbo S Lightweight hitting this speed in 2.1 seconds. This performance is powered by a 3.7-liter twin-turbo flat-six engine pumping out 640 horsepower and a top speed of 205 mph.

The standard 911 Turbo isn't far behind, reaching 0 to 60 mph in around 2.8 seconds with a slightly less powerful 3.8-liter twin-turbo engine that provides 572 horsepower. The 911 Turbo 50 Years edition also boasts similar performance but adds some impressive features to celebrate its legacy.

There are more notable 911 versions worth mentioning. For example, the 911 GT3 can go from 0 to 60 mph in 3.2 seconds. There's also the 911 GT3 RS, which can do it even faster, in just 3 seconds. Both of these have naturally aspirated flat-six engines that really shine on the track with their high-revving performance.

Porsche Taycan

Some of the fastest electric cars are in the Porsche Taycan line, with the Taycan Turbo GT being the fastest. Officially, it hits 0 to 60 mph in 2.3 seconds, but independent tests by Car and Driver clocked it at an incredible 1.9 seconds, making it the first production car to break the two-second mark. This was without the Weissach Package, which can reduce the weight and potentially shave off more time. With up to 1,092 horsepower, the Turbo GT outperforms rivals, such as the Ferrari SF90 and Tesla Model S Plaid.

Porsche 718 Series

The Porsche Cayman lineup also offers high-performance models. The 718 Cayman GT4 RS and the 718 Spyder RS are the real stars, both hitting 0 to 60 mph in just 3.4 seconds, making them the fastest of all. Other Cayman models are a bit slower, generally around 5.1 seconds for the 0 to 60 mph mark. The non-RS GT4 does 4.2 seconds with a manual and 3.7 seconds with the PDK automatic. When it comes to pure speed, the GT4 RS and Spyder RS undoubtedly dominate the Cayman family.

Porsche Panamera

Have you ever thought about how performance and practicality can work together in a car? The Porsche Panamera is a great example of that balance. For instance, the Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid boasts 680 horsepower and 626 lb-ft of torque from its hybrid engine. This sophisticated four-door can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in just over 3 seconds despite its larger size. The standard Panamera models also offer impressive acceleration.

Inside the cabin, you'll find luxury paired with thrilling sports car acceleration. The interior features sleek design elements and advanced technology, including a 12.6-inch digital gauge display and a 10.9-inch central touch screen. Porsche has really excelled by creating a car that functions as both a comfy grand tourer and a high-performance powerhouse. The hybrid technology also proves that going electric can actually boost your driving experience. With this car, you can enjoy practicality without sacrificing the incredible rush of acceleration.

Porsche Cayenne

While you may not believe that SUVs can have serious performance, the Cayenne Turbo and Turbo S models can sprint from 0 to 60 mph in an impressive 3.5 to 4.0 seconds, depending on the configuration. You can choose from a range of powertrains, including twin-turbo V-8 engines, a turbocharged V-6, and a plug-in hybrid powertrain. Although the Cayenne has a taller ride height, it still handles corners with the precision you'd expect from Porsche.

The Cayenne doesn't skimp on luxury, offering heated and ventilated front seats and optional massage functionality for those longer drives. It perfectly demonstrates that you can have a family-friendly SUV that still offers amazing acceleration. This versatile vehicle is winning over enthusiasts who never expected to own a sport utility vehicle.

Porsche Macan

Another impressive Porsche model is the Macan, particularly the all-electric Macan Turbo Electric. This model distinguishes itself by achieving 0 to 60 mph in only 3.1 seconds, thanks to its two powerful electric motors that generate 630 horsepower and 833 lb-ft of torque. The advanced 800-volt system and quick charging features make the vehicle one of the fastest electric SUVs around. It can hit a top speed of 161 mph, which proves that Porsche knows how to blend high performance with electric efficiency.

The GTS is another notable Macan model, with a turbocharged V-6 engine that generates 434 horsepower and can go from 0 to 60 mph in about 4.3 seconds. If you're into electric vehicles, the Macan 4 and Macan 4S accelerate to 60 mph in 4.2 and 4.1 seconds, respectively. The base Macan Electric takes around 5.7 seconds for the same sprint. Depending on the model, these cars are powered by either turbocharged engines or two electric motors, so there's something for everyone in the Macan family.
