Over 150 Porsche vehicles took over the streets of downtown Pleasanton at the 2nd Annual Porsches on Main event sponsored by Porsche Livermore. VIP guests were invited to a special reveal of the new, 2025 Porsche Panamera and over 1000 patrons attended the main event. In addition to the Panamera reveal, Porsche Livermore had a static display of vehicles including the Taycan and Macan. Guests were invited to participate in a school supplies drive that benefitted several local schools. Those who donated were given an ice cream coupon valid at local favorite, Meadowlark Dairy. The Porsches on Main event is put on by the Downtown Pleasanton Association and is now their highest attended summer event.
Held on Saturday, August 3, 2024, from 11 AM to 2 PM, this year’s event saw Main Street transformed into a paradise for car lovers. The entire street was closed to traffic, allowing over 150 luxury Porsche vehicles to be displayed for the public to admire. Car enthusiasts from all over the Bay Area gathered in downtown Pleasanton to get an up-close view of some of the most remarkable vehicles in the world. The four-hour event allowed ample time for visitors to explore the lineup of Porsches while enjoying the surrounding downtown atmosphere.
The big draw of the day was the special VIP reveal of the 2025 Porsche Panamera, an event that captured the attention of all those lucky enough to be invited. Porsche Livermore made sure their VIP guests got the first look at this incredible new model. In addition to the Panamera, Porsche Livermore showcased popular models like the electric Porsche Taycan and the versatile Porsche Macan.
Another standout feature of the event was Porsche Livermore’s collaboration with The Hanger and Pleasanton Unified School District. The dealership hosted a school supplies drive to benefit local students in need. A 2024 Porsche Cayenne was used to collect donations. This effort ensured that many students in the area will start the school year prepared, and it further emphasized the event's strong community focus. As a token of appreciation, donors were given a coupon for a free ice cream from Meadowlark Dairy, a local favorite that added a sweet treat to the day’s activities.

Live performances from local bands filled the air, adding a festive atmosphere to the celebration. The Switchblade Sisters performed acoustic covers of popular rock, country, and punk classics at the north end of Main Street, while the RoadRunner Band brought their high-energy rock covers to the south end, providing entertainment throughout the event.
The Annual Porsches on Main was organized by the Downtown Pleasanton Association, and it has quickly become one of the area's most popular summer events. By closing off Main Street and dedicating the space to the Porsche brand, the association has created an event that appeals not only to car enthusiasts but also to families and community members. With over 1,000 visitors attending this year, Porsches on Main has cemented itself as a key part of Pleasanton’s summer calendar.
